Stream
Today when I went to camp. First we dropped our backpacks in the snack room. Next we got our boots on. Then we walked to the stream. When we were there we caught 8 crayfish 4 Minos 1tadpole and a frog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a awesome time.
On Monday at UOIT back to nature camp, the first thing we did was learn the names of our counslers and the other kids in the camp. Then after that we played a game with the ipads givin to us by our counslers, the objective of this game was to take pictures of yourself, using an app called photo both, an app that distortes your picture, to make it hard for people to guess who the pictures were of. After that we discoverd that this summer camp wasn't just a nature camp it's also a mystery camp and throughout the week we have to solve the mystery of who is cutting down trees and dumping them at UOIT. Then in the begining of the afternoon we got in to small groups and each group got a compass and a page of directions that we had to follow to find clues, there were 7 clues each clue was a word and when you put the all the clues in order it created a message, and the message was THE TREES AREN'T IMPORTANT IT WHAT'S BENEATH. This means that the tree cutter doesn't want the trees he/she want's what's beneath the trees. But what could that be? The last thing we did on Monday was a scavenger hunt. For the scavenger hunt we got into 3 groups 1 group per counsler I was in Christine's group, each group member got an ipad and a page of coordinates, the objective of this game was to plug the coordinates that were on the paper into the GPS Motion-X app which would lead you to the thing you were trying to find. Then using the camera app you had to take a picture of what you found to prove that you found it then once you found all 11 you and your team had to race back to the starting point. The goal was to be the first team to make it back to the starting point with 11 photos, and of course thanks to me my team won.
